The judges said: “This year’s public educator of the year raised the profile of the neglected area of dementia. Dr Nazir has delivered highly valued, innovative interventions to Shropshire schoolchildren, and extended his reach to broadcast simple, positive messages about the benefits of early identification of dementia on radio and television.”

Designed specifically for GPs, Psychiatrists, Surgeons, Consultants, Nursing and Practice Managers who want to raise their game, this successful programme has been running now for 7 years. It’s specially designed to help deal with the challenges faced by the NHS’s clinical and medical leaders, and has produced an RCPsych National Award winner in Dr Ejaz Nazir, winner of the 2012 Public Educator of the Year award.
