Recently one of our participants, Dr Ejaz Nazir, won national acclaim for his project when he was awarded Public Educator of the Year by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. The judges said: “This year’s public educator of the year raised the profile of the neglected area of dementia. Dr Nazir has delivered highly valued, innovative interventions to Shropshire schoolchildren, and extended his reach to broadcast simple, positive messages about the benefits of early identification of dementia on radio and television.”
